Adele’s “Someone Like You” was an emotional track that became a big success. Much of the appeal was in the song’s simplicity: it is only her moving vocals and a piano. As much as this was a great approach, some listeners longed to know what the song would sound like with a little more going. One up-and-coming artist, Alessandro Ayer, answered this question by remixing Adele in the progressive trance style, and we here at TranceMusicBlog.com thought he pulled it off quite well.
The song overall has a great flow and energy, and one of our favorite parts is the dub-style drop that comes in at about 1:38. Ayer is a Colombian American electronic artist, producer and singer/songwriter, as well as a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, piano, drums, bass). He has performed a string of shows at such locations as Sutra Lounge, the Irvine Spectrum, and Time Out Tavern. With tracks like this on his resume, it looks like the future is bright.
