Vincent de Moor is a legendary Dutch trance music artist, and if the name sounds familiar it’s most likely because of this 2001 hit “Fly Away.” If his name doesn’t ring a bell, then maybe you’ve heard of the title used for his collaboration with Ferry Corsten: Veracocha, of “Carte Blanche” fame.
Either way, de Moor became well known in the 90s with a string of great trance tracks. Fly Away was first released in 2000, and in the following year it hit #30 on the UK charts.
With many trance and progressive artists today outspoken and possessors of vibrant personalities, de Moor is quite the opposite. Almost nothing is known of his private life, and, according to Wikipedia, there isn’t even a known interview with him!
In addition to Veracocha, de Moor has released tracks under additional aliases, including Questia and Emerald, adding to the mystique. In fact, some releases of “Fly Away” were actually released under the name Emerald.
