Check out a sneak peek at the new single Rise Up by Gabriel & Dresden, scheduled to be released exactly one week from today (March 31) on Beatport.
Gabriel & Dresden is a highly-acclaimed duo made up of Dave Dresden and Josh Gabriel. Dresden came up as a DJ in the 1980s and is largely self-taught, while Gabriel was professionally trained at the California Institute of the Arts where he earned a degree in music composition. The two bring their own styles and areas of expertise to their music, which intended to be a very emotional and meaningful experience.
After joining forces in 2001, the duo quickly gained popularity due to some excellent remixes of diverse artists both inside and outside the trance and house scene. They split up in 2008 only to reunite in 2011 and they are now going strong again.
A little about the track, from Soundcloud:
What happens when you take a funky, chunky beat and add a huge dose of pure euphoria? well you get this record, Gabriel & Dresden’s new single “Rise Up.”
Recorded entirely on a 6 oscillator Moog Modular analog synthesizer with our friend Carey “KHAZ” Stansfield, this track throbs with a classic “real” (like Sasha in ’98) progressive house energy and multiple synth lines that will undeniably leave you breathless.
“Rise Up” will be released on Josh & Dave’s label Organized Nature on March 31 (Beatport) and April 14th (iTunes, Spotify, etc)
